Unique artwork commission of family swimming at the beach

I begin all my commissioned artworks with a photographic session.

Photography by Sydney artist, Lauren Esplin, as part of her process for creating a commissioned artwork.

The session allows be the opportunity to meet and observe my subjects and witness how they interact with their environment and eachother.

Photography for an original coastal artwork commission. One of these photos will inspire the painting.

This photoshoot was held at North Narrabeen Beach with the lovely family of Nicole Bennett from @sustainablestyleschool.

Nicole has an absolutely gorgeous family and while they enjoyed exploring the rockpools, it was when they were all fully immersed in water and swimming where they were happiest.

The stresses that come with raising a young family were seemingly washed away and it was unbundantly clear that this was to be the inspiration for the artwork.

I am currently working on this piece and will update this post and my instagram with the final artwork!
