Unique Wedding Gift Idea

With many couples typically tying the knot later in life, having already lived together for some time and set-up a home with the necessities, finding a wedding gift is a task that requires a little more imagination these days!

When I was approached by a family who, at the bequest of the couple, asked if everyone might be willing to pool resources together in the form of commissioning an unique artwork to mark this special time in their lives, I was touched and impressed!

I still have a few wedding gifts gathering dust in my attic. They were things I either didn't need or want and I have no connection to, other than the fact they were gifted to me.

The gift of a commissioned artwork is a gift of an artwork but also an experience.

I began this commission as I begin all, with a photoshoot. Then, we worked together to decide on the image that would inspire the artwork and the couple had a say in the palette.
